Tetragonal crystal structure, yellow when heated, dark yellow red when molten, amphoteric compound. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in strong acids and bases, and the formation of double salts. Density 5.49 ~ 6.02g/cm3. Melting point is 733 ℃. The boiling point of 1260 ℃. Sublimation begins at 450℃ and is prepared by the correct acid thermal decomposition. Used for antisepsis and identification of bacteria in vaccines.
